During week #35 of our pregnancy, we participated in a maternity photo shoot to commemorate the upcoming birth of our first child. A very special THANK YOU to our friend, Carlton Adkins, for playing the role of photographer on this day. We hope that you enjoy looking at the pictures as much as we enjoyed taking them.

35 Weeks and Counting!
MY HAND
IT'S ME- CHILLIN!
MY FOOT!This week marked my 38th week of gestation! Mommy and daddy celebrated by having another photo shoot of me at Dr. Fox's office. I was much more cooperative this time and let the nice ultrasound technician get some good shots of me. My big cousin (more like my big brother), Carrington, was visiting us from Michigan, so he got to watch the photo shoot. (I was really showing off for him. I wanted to make him smile.) It looks as if my head is down and I am in position to prepare for my debut. In the pictures, my feet look REALLY long. The nice lady said that they measure about 2 1/2 inches long!! She also estimated that I weigh about 5 pounds, 9 ounces already! If I gain half a pound a week like mommy's pregnancy books say, I'm gonna be a big boy from the very beginning!!
Yours truly,
Master Dallas John Cooks (aka The Maverick)

My Welcome Party
Mommy and some of her sorority sisters
Cristy, Tracie, and Lana
Aunt Rita and Grandmomma Joe
Aunt Jerrell, Grandmomma Bobby, Grandmomma Turner
Wow! My mommy and daddy must really be good people because so many people that they know are showering me with love and I'm not even born yet! On February 6th, a group of my mommy's very good friends came together and hosted a "Welcome Party" for me. Auntie Yvette (aka Divastyle), Auntie Zuri, and Auntie Kimbra (who lives in Memphis), and Aunt Kim did an awesome job of planning this special event for me. The food was delicious, the cake was fabulous, and the games were short and fun. So many people have given my mommy compliments on how nice the event was that she keeps smiling. It was very cold that day so a special thank you goes to all those who braved the frigid temperatures. Thank you also to those who traveled from outside the Nashville area- both of my grandmommies, Aunt Jerrell, Momma Turner, Miss Shalondra, Miss CC, Miss Melissa, Auntie Kim (and Naomi), Aunt Rita, and Miss Lana, Miss Shanise, and anyone else that I may have forgotten.
As usual, my mommy got emotional and shed some tears. (She seems to do that a lot lately) There were a lot of people at my "Welcome Party" who have prayed with/for my mommy for my existence. It really meant a lot to her for those special people to share in my upcoming debut. Thank you so much Mrs. Perry, Ms. Marian, Ms. Cristy, Ms. Kim, and Ms. Tracie. My mommy loves you so much!
My forgetful mommy and daddy didn't have the memory card in the camera! So, enjoy the limited pictures that we have!
Love, Master Dallas John Cooks

Another TSVH Surprise

As you know, I (Amber) work at the Tennessee State Veterans Home in Murfreesboro. At the facility, there are three wings- North, East, and West. Last week, the facility hosted a surprise shower for me. Unfortunately, the West Wing was not able to participate. So, to my surprise (again), my West Wing friends threw their own shower for me and Baby Dallas!! There was so much good food that I ate, and ate, and ate all afternoon!! The cake was the cutest with a message that read "Hello, Mommy! Goodbye Belly"! Baby Dallas went home with so many nice gifts and a feeling of being loved and blessed beyond belief! Thank you so much West Wing Crew!
